Nearly two years later, I can’t stop thinking about this Joe Biden campaign advertisement.

It was incredibly cynical and dishonest.

On September 15, 2020, I was watching YouTube — probably some food or travel video — and was served an advertisement by Joe Biden’s presidential campaign. The theme was Donald Trump’s alleged failure to control the virus and near the end it flashed an empty classroom with a solemn voice declaring, “Our Kids Not Safe in School.”

As I noted when sharing the video, Biden’s campaign was saying this about school safety at the same time as schools were reopening across the United Kingdom and European Union. In the UK, schools were reopening without masks. And, in France, schools were reopening without physical distancing in old buildings where the only ventilation was opening the windows.
